Toccata from Lyric Symphony

As the final movement of the symphony, this Toccata is an example of the French organ toccata with two themes - the first or principal theme heard in the pedal beneath rapid, alternating chords in the manuals. The second theme is later heard in the manuals. This piece builds to an exciting climax as both themes are combined simultaneously near the end of the movement.

Appropriate for: postlude, solo performance.
